Our office is located on a side street, near the intersection of Fairfield Dr and Pace Blvd, our Restored, Mid-Century building with original oak floors, offers a warm and friendly atmosphere where our patients are treated as family, and with the utmost respect. We have been in practice for over 30 years, and have a caring staff of five. Our optical technicians do a thorough pretest with the most modern equipment in the industry. We strive to make our patients feel at home, and offer complete visual exams, including retinal camera testing, optical coherence tomography, and tonometry, with the state of the art instruments. We have a optical department with over 2000 eye glass frames, including sunglass frames from rayban, costa del mar, and baush and lomb. Each prescription is checked out thoroughly before a patient recieves them. Our office motto is to assure that a patient has an experience superior to any of they have had in the past, with the latest optical frames and lenses, and the most thorough visual exam. We want our patients to be well informed of their visual needs and any underlying conditions they may have. We feel that if a patient understands their visual condition, they can make more informed choices in their treatment. Do to certain conditions such as macular degeneration and vitreomacular adhesions, we have patients return on a timely basis for followup exams, to ensure that their condition isn't worsening, These conditions are explained thoroughly, with actual scans of their eyes, and if needed, the patient is referred to a retinal specialist. We recommend that diabetics have a thorough visual exam, yearly, to avoid retinopathy which is treatable. Certain ocular conditions, Glaucoma, can be genetic. For example, if your mother or father has been diagnosed with glaucoma, you have one in seven chance of developing the disease in your lifetime. Macular degeneration is also a genetic disease and patients are predisposed if they have a parent with the disease.Timely visual exams are necessary in these ocular pathologies.
